Usability Optimisation is a process of tweaking your website so it is more user friendly. It is a crucial aspect of any website, because if the people coming to your site can’t navigate around it properly or can’t find out how to do something they want to do, like ordering a product or downloading a product guide, they will leave and you will have lost a potential customer. One of the most common mistakes we have found with most of our clients is on their contact us page, where they only include an email address. This is not a practical solution for the user because if they want to find something out, they will have to open up their email client, copy and paste the email address, come up with a subject (which may not be relevant), and they will only give you the information that they want to give you. So all in all you are making it harder for a potential client to contact you and you are not capturing as much useful information as you could be. So if you are doing this, change it as soon as possible, because you are most probably losing business!
